Teaching Methods

Adventure Learning
The first goal of our school programs is to help students develop patterns of behaviour that enable them to be effective community members and well balanced individuals. Adventure Learning allows change in students' lives to occur naturally, by utilizing the following process:

Design
Our desire is to work with the teacher to determine the goals for your experience and to provide a customized program that meets the students' needs. Even during your stay we are continually developing and adapting activities to ensure that they are effective.

Deliver
The program is presented to small groups of 12-15 students in a way that is fun, safe and allows individuals to challenge themselves. Each activity is rich in metaphors and full of teachable moments. Qualified leadership means teachers are able to relax and enjoy the program while our staff leads. They are able to be part of the group or just observe.

De-brief
We are committed to seeing students explore the meaning of the activities and transfer lesssons learned to their lives in practical ways. Most activities are followed by discussion to help your students identify issues, develop solutions, and make real life applications.

Outdoor Recreational Activities
The second goal of our school programs is to introduce young people to unique recreational activities that they could adopt as part of a healthy lifestyle. They are exciting, non competitive and environmentally sensitive.
