Since the late 80s rock climbing has been a key activity for Medeba. We were one of the first in Canada to build a realistic outdoor climbing structure but, after over a decade of use, a new one had to be constructed. The new climbing tower is in the same location as the old one.

	May 15, 2003 Here Bettina, Molly, Jeremy and Michael lay out the 50 foot poles for the new climbing wall.
	May 21, 2003 The poles are now being installed.
	May 21, 2003 All 4 poles were erected today. .
	May 28, 2003 The first wall is being constructed using a special boom to lift up the pieces of plywood.
	June 3, 2003 The boom makes it easier to install the different sections.
	June 3, 2003 The overhang is now being installed on the north side.
	June 3, 2003 This is a view of the south wall.
	June 24, 2003 The wall is now ready for use.
	July 8, 2003 Two climbers are able to climb on each face of the wall. This maximizes the amount of times people can climb during an activity.
	July 10, 2003 When it comes right down to it the reason why Medeba exists is for the campers. It is so fulfilling to see them come down from a climb with a big smile on their face.
