Medeba Management Team

The Medeba staff are led by a management team that makes all major decisions on a consensus basis. It provides for a dynamic working environment with the strengths of each member can be maximized and the weaknesses minimized.

Bruce Dunning Executive Director

  • Primary responsibilities include vision and overall direction, organizational development, fundraising, Management Team Leader, and LIT Director.
  • Started working for Medeba in 1980.
  • Graduated from Emmaus Bible College and Ontario Bible College (BTh).
  • Has served on the Christian Camping International, Canada Board from 1979 through 1999.
  • Enjoys rock and ice climbing, white-water kayaking, telemark skiing, canoeing and woodcarving.

  • Certified as an Ontario Rock Climbing Association Instructor
  • Certified as a High Ropes Course Instructor
  • Certified as an Ontario Recreational Canoeing Association Instructor in : Moving Water, Canoe Tripping, Flat Water
  • Certified in Wilderness First Aid
  • Certified in CPR
  • Certified as a Red Cross Water Safety Instructor
  • Certified with the National Lifeguard Service
  • Certified as a Level 2 River Rescue Technician

  • Rock climbing - since 1988
  • Ice climbing - since 1993
  • Canoe tripping - since 1973
  • Cross-country skiing - since 1979
  • Telemark Skiing – since 1985

Steve Archibald General Director

  • Primary responsibilities include summer camp, marketing, and overseeing the Office Manager, Site and Kitchen Manager, and Summer Personnel Director.
  • Started working at Medeba in 1989.
  • Graduated from Ryerson Polytechnic University (BBM) and also went to Ontario Bible College.
  • Enjoys water skiing, beach volleyball, and carpentry.
