LDP Application Procedure

Come for a visit

We want to ensure that those considering applying for the Leadership Development Program (LDP) make well-informed and wise decisions. The ideal way for this to happen is to actually visit us and interact with the current participants for a day or two. They are the best promoters of the value of the program.

If it is not possible to make a visit to Medeba, the next best thing is to interact through email or phone.

Prerequisites for LDP

  • Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent life experience
  • Prior leadership experience
  • Good physical condition
  • Aptitude for learning and teaching
  • Able to affirm Medeba's Statement of Faith (see below)
  • Agree with Medeba's Lifestyle standards (see below)

Expectations of All Leadership Development Participants

LDP Participants and Their Relationship With God
LDP are to be known for their love of God, His Church and fellow man with a servant attitude of putting others first. They are expected to reflect the standards of the Word of God and daily spend time with God in prayer and study. All LDP must affirm the following:

Medeba's Statement of Faith:

We believe in
· The plenary inspiration of the Old and New Testaments as the very word of God.
· The triune God - Father, Son and Holy Spirit
· The deity of the Lord Jesus Christ, His substitutionary atonement for sin, His bodily resurrection, and His personal, visible return to earth to reign in righteousness and glory.
· The person of the Holy Spirit, and His work of conviction, regeneration, and sanctification; who indwells every believer
· The necessity of the new birth, in salvation by faith in Jesus Christ alone and importance of a life fully committed to the will of God in Christ.

LDP Participants and Their Lifestyle at Medeba

· Alcohol and Tobacco
Medeba is a smoke free and alcohol free facility.

· Music, Videos, Movies and Reading Material
All material must be morally unquestionable, according to Biblical standards. If the volume or content bothers anyone it is not acceptable.

· Accommodations
You may not enter into the bedroom of participants of the opposite sex.

· Abuse
Any type of abuse is unacceptable. Put-downs are not allowed.

· Clothing

· Moral Behavior
Our standard is taken from 1 Corinthians 5: 11 - 13. "Anyone who claims to be a brother Christian but indulges in sexual sins, or is greedy, or is a swindler, who worships idols, or is a drunkard, or abusive," is not allowed a place of responsibility at Medeba.
